Each day has 6 periods. Each subject is taught in a different room so you will have to move around the school. The school has a 2 week timetable system so you will need to remember if it is an A week or a B week. Some subjects will require you to work in specialised classrooms - laboratories for science, workshops for design and technology and kitchens for home economics. You may need special equipment for these lessons. Your class teacher will let you know. You will probably get homework from most lessons - keep a note of this in your homework diary. homework

There is a school uniform and you will be expected to bring a PE kit when you are timetabled for this. For PE you will need a plain T Shirt in school colours, plain dark shorts, a change of footwear and socks, swimming costume or trunks.

Different Classes

You will register in a tutor group which will be a mixture of pupils from S1 - S6

Whole Class Subjects : In some subjects - French, English, Maths, History, Geography and Modern Studies - you will be in a big class of up to 32 pupils
