Bo'ness Academy Mini-Bus Appeal

We made it !

Mr Dougan announced at the end of November that thanks to all the fundraising efforts and donations a brand new minibus had been ordered which hopefully will be in operation after the Xmas holidays

Thanks are due to the fundraising committee for their enduring persistence and perseverance in raising the money required

Our present minibus is 8 years old and is showing signs of age and the fact that it has been well used

The school minibus is vital for a number of school activities including football, rugby, basketball, Duke of Edinburgh, theatre visits and university visits. In addition the minibus is used by the wider community of Bo'ness including primary schools, churches and local youth groups.

Over the coming year pupils and staff plan to carry out a variety of fundraising activities to reach our goal of £21,000. The planned fundraising activities include bag packing, prize bingo and a sponsored triathlon. We have just held a Christmas Raffle raising approx. £2000 with money outstanding.

We are also offerring sponsor spots on our school website and on our new minibus. The minibus is driven around the central belt of Scotland and is an ideal advertising opportunity as well as assisting the local community
