In S1 and S2, pupils:

Gain experience in Craft and Design, Graphic communication and Technological Studies

.......... Wooden Box ........ Marker rendering .......... Gears

1st year one period a week where pupils experience a sample of all areas of CDT

Craft & Design -: Designing and making wood metal and plastic projects

Graphic Communication -: Producing sketches drawings and computer graphics to communicate information

tTechnological Studies -: Learning about technology e.g. Structures, Machines, computer control and Electronics etc.

2nd year two periods a week where pupils study the three areas of the subject that we teach up to higher level.

From S3-S6, pupils:

follow NQ courses leading to Intermediate 1, 2 and Higher Qualifications.

3rd & 4th year-: Three periods a week over two years, where pupils work to gain an intermediate award in one or both of the two subjects we teach up to Higher level .

Or in Practical Craft Skills. At present pupils can study up to Intermediate two level.

5th & 6th year-: Five periods a week over one year, where pupils work to gain a Higher in one or both of the two subjects we teach up to Higher level

Product Design -: Designing and making wood metal and plastic projects (90% Design)

Graphic Communication -: Producing sketches drawings and computer graphics to communicate information (Presented as a Folio of Work)

Or in Practical Craft Skills. At present pupils can study up to Intermediate two level.
