Each day has either 6 or 7 periods. Each subject is taught in a different room so you will have to move around the school.

Some subjects will require you to work in specialised classrooms - laboratories for science, workshops for design and technology and kitchens for home economics. You may need special equipment for these lessons. Your class teacher will let you know. You will probably get homework from most lessons - keep a note of this in your homework diary.

There is a school uniform and you will be expected to bring a PE kit when you are timetabled for this. For PE you will need a plain T Shirt in school colours, plain dark shorts, a change of footwear and socks, swimming costume or trunks.
