Advantages of working abroad
Working in another country is an ideal way to improve existing skills or learn new ones, making you more attractive to employers as well as being a beneficial addition to your CV.
If you have decided that you would like to work abroad, you can either do so for a short time in the form of a few weeks, a few months, a year out or even gap year. You may though decide to relocate long-term or permanently. Some people may go abroad to volunteer rather than looking for paid work.
Many young people explore opportunities such as working at summer camps or completing short term jobs to fund travelling. Within this section you will be able to find out about some of the experiences staff and former pupils have had from working abroad and what benefits this can have for individuals.
If you are interested in learning more about potential opportunities please speak to your pupil support teacher or Mr Tocher who can discuss this with you. There are also links provided at the bottom of this page to some useful websites.
