School Dress Code

All schools are now obliged to have a school dress code. It contributes to a positive school ethos which avoids discrimination and reduces the cachet of wearing expensive designer clothing. A school's reputation can also be enhanced in the local community by the wearing of school uniform. School security will be improved as it will be easier to identify intruders.

Are there any occasions during the year when my child does not need to wear uniform?

The school occasionally has a "Dress Down Day" to raise money for charity.  This is the only time that pupils can wear casual dress.

What will happen if my child does not wear appropriate dress to school?

If your child fails to wear school dress on a regular basis we will contact you by telephone or letter and we will either provide your child with alternative clothing or send him/ her home to change.

Your child will also receive penalty points if he/she fails to wear school dress twice in one week
