Welcome to the ILC - Integrated Learning Community
The Bo'ness ILC is one of eight Integrated Community
Schools which have been set up across Falkirk District. The main aim
of the ILC is to improve the attainment and achievement of all young
people within their communities and to encourage social inclusion. The
child is at the centre of this service with work focusing on the pupil
and his or her family. Barriers to learning and the needs of the child
are addressed through an integrated multi-agency approach. A range of
professionals including teachers, Social Workers, Family Workers, Health
Care Professionals, Police and others work together to try to meet the
needs of the young people and their families.

The present Bo'ness team has been gradually built up
since February 2004 and is based in Bo'ness Academy. This team serves
local nurseries, all 5 primary schools and the Academy. The well being
of every child is their central aim. The team aims to give a speedy
response to all referrals. They hope to empower young people and families
that they work with, building on their strengths and encouraging them
to make positive choices.
Our Vision
We want every child and young person to have an enjoyable
fulfilling life in a nurturing, healthy and safe environment. We will
encourage children and young people to work to their potential and make
a positive contribution to society.
