Standard Grade Recipes

The After School Chef's Club takes place every Thursday from 3.45pm - 5pm. This will provide students with an opportunity to try out some exciting new recipes and will be run by Chef George Scott from Forth Valley College alongside Miss Smith in Home Economics.
The class is full at the moment but any interested pupils should contact Miss Smith in Room 029

All pupils in S1 are taught basic skills in cooking

working in the home economics department boys learn cookery skills as well as girls

Towards the end of each session first year classes hold parties to show the skills they have learned throughout the year. Pupils make up menus, placemats, welcome banners, invitations and prepare food and drink for their invited guests.

Classes decide collectively on their menus then divide into groups to prepare the food which is then shared out between all the tables.
